◊ Linseed & Soybean Oil Based Alkyds - Degen Oil & Chemical Company manufactures long oil alkyd resins using linseed oil, soybean oil as well as other vegetable, nut and fish oils and proprietary blends of these oils.  Degen offers expertise in formulating customized alkyds to tailor the end use properties required by our customers.  For example, one customer purchases a customized alkyd for the special drying properties and inherent gloss. Degen Oil & Chemical Company also offers resinated alkyds and alkyd solutions for our customers.  Degen carefully controls the manufacture of alkyd resins, shipping bulk, totes and drums.

◊  Custom Alkyds – Degen also offers a variety of custom based alkyds for its customers.  Using expertise gained in more than 50 years of alkyd manufacture, Degen offers customized alkyd resins.  These customized alkyds are long oil formulations.  Tung Oil, Safflower Oil, Sunflower Oil, Fish Oils, Dehydrated Castor Oil (DCO), Tall Oil, Walnut Oil, Fatty Acids all of these Oils and Blends of Oils have been used successfully to formulate alkyds.
