Degen Oil & Chemical Company was founded in 1957 as a manufacturer of alkyd resins and specialty blown and chemically-treated vegetable, nut and fish oils.  Right from the start, Degen developed a reputation for quality products and outstanding customer service. Inspired by our founders, George Degen and Bob Pollack, their entrepreneurial spirit continues today at 200 Kellogg Street. Degen has become the leader in blown vegetable and fish oils as well as chemically-modified oils and specialty alkyd resins.  Degen continues to invest in our people and technology to meet the needs of our customers.

Degen markets blown and polymerized oils around the world.  We are leaders in oxidation, polymerization and blowing.  Our employees understand the critical process parameters influencing our product quality. Our equipment is state of the art, reflecting a substantial investment in critical process control technology.  Degen is also a leader in the manufacture of specialty alkyd resins, esterified oils, limed gum rosin and limed oils. Most important, our people are well trained, understanding the dynamics of polymerization, ensuring that we meet our customers’ requirements.
